Asian Pharmacoepidemiology Network (AsPEN) is an activity advocated by Profeesor BJ Park in the 3rd ACPE (ACPE3) in Korea in 2008.

Under the activities of AsPEN, if any 'signal' of particular Asian interest is found, the network of Asian researchers will co-operatively address the problem and share the information to contribute to those in charge of coping with the issue in each country get prepared for the issue.

The exercise in ACPE5 in 2010 would be the first step to make this activity be a real. In this activity, the research into the association between the antipsychotics and incidence of diabetes will be made and presented in a session in ACPE5 by researchers in Taiwan, Korea, Japan, Australia, US and Sweden.
